AN ACT
MAKING APPROPRIATIONS TO REPLACE FUNDS AND RESOURCES FOR MENTAL HEALTH COURTS AND TO EXPAND MENTAL HEALTH COURTS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATIONS.--
A. The following amounts are appropriated from the general fund to the administrative office of the courts for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 for the following purposes:
(1) two hundred twenty-three thousand three hundred dollars ($223,300) to replace funds and resources for the mental health court at the Bernalillo county metropolitan court; and
(2) four hundred eighteen thousand three hundred dollars ($418,300) to expand and enhance the mental health courts in the first and eleventh judicial districts.
B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
