AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE SANTA FE DANCE FESTIVAL TO PROMOTE THE ARTS AND TOURISM IN NEW MEXICO.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the tourism department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 for the Santa Fe dance festival to promote the arts and tourism and to support production of the festival, programming and a guest artist training and outreach series. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
