AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CULTURAL AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT FOR STATEWIDE ORCHESTRAL EDUCATION OUTREACH.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the arts division of the cultural affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to support a statewide program of youth education and outreach by a professional orchestra with at least seventy-five years of experience planning music education for youth. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
