AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO TO CREATE THE STUDENT ENGAGEMENT AND SUCCESS PROGRAM.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million nine thousand four hundred seventy-five dollars ($1,009,475) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to create the student engagement and success program. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
