AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE PLACEMENT OF STUDENTS INTO PRIVATE SECTOR EMPLOYMENT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal years 2009 and 2010 for a two-year pilot program at the Nuestros Valores charter school to test students to measure workplace skills and to facilitate the placement of students into private sector employment. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the general fund.
