AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR STUDENTS TO ATTEND EDUCATIONAL EVENTS AT PROFESSIONAL BASKETBALL GAMES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the sports authority division of the tourism department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to purchase and distribute to students tickets to attend the "learning at the game" events at professional basketball games. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
