AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE ENLACE PROGRAM AT SELECTED PUBLIC POST-SECONDARY EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two million dollars ($2,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the higher education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 for the ENLACE program. The appropriation shall be distributed equally to the university of New Mexico, New Mexico state university, San Juan college, Santa Fe community college and Clovis community college. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
