AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TO INCREASE THE BED CAPACITY OF RESIDENTIAL ALCOHOL AND DRUG TREATMENT SERVICES IN THE ALCALDE AREA IN RIO ARRIBA COUNTY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to contract for an increase in the bed capacity for residential drug and alcohol treatment facilities in the Alcalde area of Rio Arriba county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
