AN ACT

RELATING TO EDUCATION; EXTENDING THE EXPENDITURE PERIOD FOR AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE PROMISE FOR SUCCESS PROGRAM IN THE GADSDEN INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. TEMPORARY PROVISION--EXTENDING THE EXPENDITURE PERIOD OF AN APPROPRIATION.--The appropriation in Subsection 14 of Section 35 of Chapter 21 of Laws 2007 for the promise for success program in the Gadsden independent school district may be expended through fiscal year 2009.
