AN ACT

RELATING TO THE PUBLIC PEACE, HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELFARE; MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION FOR CENTRAL NEW MEXICO COMMUNITY COLLEGE STUDENTS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the higher education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 for central New Mexico community college to provide students transportation on the public transit system. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
