AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR SCHOOL VISITS BY STAFF FROM THE SAN MIGUEL COUNTY DETENTION CENTER FOR THE PURPOSE OF DISCUSSING ALCOHOL AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE PREVENTION.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and admnistration for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 for a program that funds school visits by staff from the San Miguel county detention center for the purpose of discussing alcohol and substance abuse prevention. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
