AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A JAZZ MUSIC WORKSHOP THAT PROVIDES JAZZ EDUCATION PROGRAMS FOR UNDERSERVED AND UNDERREPRESENTED CHILDREN AND COMMUNITIES IN NEW MEXICO.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the cultural affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to contract for a jazz music workshop that provides jazz education programs for underserved and underrepresented children and communities in New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
