AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A GRANT RESEARCHER TO PROVIDE GRANT WRITING SERVICES AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FOR THE BELEN CONSOLIDATED SCHOOL DISTRICT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 for a full-time grant researcher in the Belen consolidated school district who will provide grant writing services and technical assistance. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
