AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE PUBLIC EDUCATION DEPARTMENT TO CONTINUE AND EXPAND THE RESTORATIVE JUSTICE PROGRAM IN THE SANTA FE PUBLIC SCHOOLS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to continue and expand the restorative justice program in the Santa Fe public schools. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
