AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR RESTORATION EFFORTS OF THE RUIDOSO RIVER.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 and subsequent fiscal years to study the influx of phosphorus and nitrogen into the Ruidoso river and implement restoration projects. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
