AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR COMPLIANCE WITH FEDERAL CLEAN WATER REGULATIONS IN CIBOLA COUNTY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to assist municipal and county governments in Cibola county to clean, deodorize and sanitize commercial and residential refuse containers to comply with the mandated 2008 federal clean water regulations. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
