AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO FOR THE CHICANO/HISPANO/LATINO LIBRARY PROGRAM.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 for the instructional, speaker, collection and outreach expenses of the Chicano/Hispano/Latino library program in the university libraries. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
