AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF A WEB SITE AND CHAT ROOM FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES WHO HAVE LEFT HIGH SCHOOL, AND THEIR FAMILIES, IN ORDER TO FOSTER AN EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION, NEEDS AND RESOURCES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the governor's commission on disability for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to establish a web site and chat room for persons with disabilities who have left high school, and their families, in order to foster an exchange of information, needs and resources and to reduce the isolation of and increase the social and recreational opportunities for persons with disabilities and their families. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
