AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE RECRUITMENT OF RETAIL BUSINESSES TO DOWNTOWN ALBUQUERQUE.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure by the mid-region council of governments in fiscal year 2009 for the purpose of recruiting retail businesses to downtown Albuquerque in Bernalillo county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
