AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR CULTURALLY SENSITIVE SUBSTANCE ABUSE PROGRAMS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the Indian affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 for a culturally competent substance abuse prevention, intervention and recovery support program for the Ramah chapter of the Navajo Nation. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
