AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR SINGLE TEEN MOTHERS.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 for case management, therapy, educational and vocational mentoring and training in life and parenting skills and in early childhood development for single teen mothers and their babies in a residential home. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
