AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TO FUND OPERATIONAL EXPENSES FOR THE LAS VEGAS SPECIAL OLYMPICS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to fund registration fees, equipment, travel, board and lodging and uniforms for athletes with mental, physical or developmental disabilities participating in olympic-style competitive events in the Las Vegas special olympics. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
