AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR ANIMAL SHELTERING AND OTHER SERVICES FOR ANIMALS IN RIO ARRIBA COUNTY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to provide animal sheltering, spay and neutering and animal transfer services in Espanola and Rio Arriba county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
