AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY TO ASSIST AGRICULTURAL PRODUCERS IN THE ESTABLISHMENT OF COOPERATIVES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($175,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 for the college of agriculture and home economics to assist agricultural producers in the establishment of cooperatives. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
