AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO NEW MEXICO HIGHLANDS UNIVERSITY FOR THE CENTER FOR THE EDUCATION AND STUDY OF DIVERSE POPULATIONS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Four hundred two thousand dollars ($402,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico highlands university for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to fund the center for the education and study of diverse populations. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
