AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS SERVING AT-RISK YOUTH IN TAOS COUNTY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifteen thousand dollars ($215,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 for paid construction training, general educational development certificate instruction, leadership and job skills training, vocational carpentry education and community service learning projects for at-risk youth ages sixteen to twenty-four in Taos county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
