AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF NORTHERN NEW MEXICO STATE SCHOOL FOR THE NORTHERN PUEBLOS INSTITUTE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of northern New Mexico state school for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 for the northern pueblos institute to serve the eight northern pueblos' higher education needs. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
