AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO NEW MEXICO HIGHLANDS UNIVERSITY FOR NATIVE AMERICAN RECRUITMENT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seventy-two thousand six hundred dollars ($72,600) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico highlands university for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to pay for Native American recruitment. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
