AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR MORA COUNTY TOURISM EXPANSION.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the tourism department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to contract to expand tourism development activity in Mora county by providing staff for a Mora county tourism office, developing brochures and other marketing and promotional materials, providing advertisement and informational copy for magazines, coordinating participation in Mora county events and assisting local attractions in developing cooperative and coordinated advertising campaigns. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
