AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR EXPANSION OF COMMUNICATION DISORDERS PROGRAMS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 for expansion of student clinical studies and practicum programs for communication disorders in the department of speech and hearing sciences. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
