AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A MAIL BALLOT ELECTION ON INCORPORATING THE UNINCORPORATED AREAS OF THE SOUTH VALLEY OF BERNALILLO COUNTY.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Forty thousand dollars ($40,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the secretary of state for expenditure in fiscal years 2009 and 2010 to fund the necessary expenses of a mail ballot special election in Bernalillo county on the question of whether the unincorporated areas of the south valley of Bernalillo county should be incorporated as a new municipality. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the general fund.
