AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO CONDUCT AN INCORPORATION CENSUS IN THE SOUTH VALLEY OF BERNALILLO COUNTY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal years 2009 and 2010 for the bureau of business and economic research of the institute for applied research services to conduct an incorporation census of the south valley incorporation area in the unincorporated areas of Bernalillo county by using gap analysis, historical census data, orthophotography, global positioning software for street address canvassing, field research and other relevant methodologies. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the general fund.
