    Your VOTERS AND ELECTIONS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 6, as amended

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. Strike Senate Floor Amendment 1.

     2. On page 1, line 13, after "MEMBERS", insert "AND CONDUCT THE ELECTION BY MAIL-IN BALLOT OR AS OTHERWISE PROVIDED BY LAW".

     3. On page 2, line 15, strike "The" and insert in lieu thereof "Notwithstanding the provisions of Article 7, Section 1 of the constitution of New Mexico, the".

     4. On page 2, line 16, after "conducted", strike "as" and insert in lieu thereof "by mail-in ballot or as otherwise".

     5. On page 2, lines 16 and 17, strike "for other local school board elections".

and thence referred to the JUDICIARY COMMITTEE.
