and insert in lieu thereof "STRAINS".

2. On page 1, line 23, strike "strain" and insert in lieu

thereof "strains" and strike "was" and insert in lieu thereof

"were".

3. On page 1, after line 25, insert the following:

"WHEREAS, the 2005 New Mexico state university report, "Genetic

Diversity of Chile Landraces from Northern New Mexico, Colorado and

Mexico", identifies four Chimayo chile strains or landraces from

among the seventeen native chile strains in northern New Mexico;

and".

4. On page 2, line 4, strike "chile that is" and insert in

lieu thereof "chiles".

5. On page 2, line 5, strike "is a" and insert in lieu thereof

"compose".

6. On page 2, line 6, strike "land race" and insert in lieu

thereof "landraces".

7. On page 2, line 12, strike "strain" and insert in lieu
