A JOINT MEMORIAL
SUPPORTING SUNLAND PARK'S EFFORTS TO HAVE THE FEDERAL
GOVERNMENT ESTABLISH A VEHICLE AND PEDESTRIAN, NONCOMMERCIAL
CUSTOMS PORT OF ENTRY AT THE INTERNATIONAL BORDER BETWEEN
CIUDAD JUAREZ-ANAPRA, MEXICO, AND SUNLAND PARK, NEW MEXICO.
WHEREAS, Sunland Park is located at the southernmost part
of Dona Ana county, along the international border with the
Republic of Mexico; and
WHEREAS, Sunland Park has had a federal cattle crossing
designation since 1978 and is now preparing necessary documents
for consideration by the United States government to establish
a vehicle and pedestrian, noncommercial customs port of entry
in the immediate proximity of the cattle crossing; and
WHEREAS, the establishment of a noncommercial
international border crossing at Sunland Park is part of an
