Senate Memorial 49 proclaims February 28, 2007 as Santa Fe Community College Day at the
Senate.
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES
Senate Memorial 49 states that each year, Santa Fe Community College serves fourteen thousand
five hundred students from throughout Northern and Central New Mexico. Santa Fe Community
College offers a wide range of educational programs and services to meet the needs of business,
government and a diverse population. Santa Fe Community College provides affordable,
accessible opportunities that enhance the quality of life through academic, career and personal-
enrichment programs.
Santa Fe Community College curricula assists students of all ages and skill levels to acquire the
knowledge to ensure a successful future. Students can pursue everything from culinary arts to
human services, from adult basic education to specialized work force training, design, teaching
and nursing programs and a wide range of business degrees and continuing education. Santa Fe
Community College has nurtured and fostered a student-centered educational environment
within a set of quality core values and its governing board, administration, faculty and staff
believe strongly in the mission of the college, which is “helping students succeed and serving our
community".
