SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
Senate Bill 1100 appropriates $85,000 from the General Fund to the Board of Regents of New
Mexico State University (NMSU) to pay for the Viticulture Program.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $85,000 contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the general fund.
Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY08 shall revert to the
general fund.
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES
This request was not submitted by NMSU to the New Mexico Higher Education Department
(NMHED) for review. The Department’s funding recommendation for FY08 is a continuance of
FY07 recurring funding in the amount of $71,900.
