SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
Senate Bill 1073 appropriates $100.0 from the General Fund to the Local Government Division
of the Department of Finance, to fund ambulance and emergency services in the Village of
Columbus.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $100.0 contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the General Fund.
Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY08 shall revert to the
General Fund.
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES
DFA reports that the Village of Columbus volunteer fire department provides emergency
services to the Village and along the Mexican border, serving an area of approximately 888
