SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
Senate Bill 1063 appropriates $100.0 for planning an international conference on creative
tourism to be held in the City of Santa Fe.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $100.0 contained in this bill is a non-recurring expense to the General
Fund. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY08 shall revert to
the General Fund.
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES
As the only U.S. member of the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural
Organization Creative Cities Network, the City of Santa Fe has proposed an international
conference on creative tourism to be held in Santa Fe in October 2007. The City feels there will
be a positive economic impact from the conference for both the city and the state.
