SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
Senate Bill 977 appropriates $100.0 for the New Mexico youth day statewide talent search for
the New Mexico youth day concert in Bernalillo County. SB 977 contains an emergency clause.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $100.0 contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the General Fund.
Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY08 shall revert to the
General Fund.
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES
SB 977 will provide $100.0 to help finance costs associated with finding students around the
state to participate in the New Mexico Youth Day concert, performed during the New Mexico
Youth Day Holiday on Saturday, August 4, 2007 at the Los Vecinos Community Center in
Tijeras. Prime Time for Kids is a 501(c) (3) community-based program that reaches out to at-risk
children. The target population is middle and high school students. The goals of Prime Time are
to keep children active when they are not is school and to keep children in school. To participate
