SUMMARY

Synopsis of Bill

Senate Bill 953 amends NMSA Section 2-11-3 of the Lobbyist Regulation Act; changing filing

fees from $25.00 to $100.00 per lobbyist’s employer.

FISCAL IMPLICATIONS

According to the SOS, revenues would increase the general fund. Based on the current number

of employers of lobbyists registered, revenues could increase by approximately $84,225 per year.

ADMINISTRATIVE IMPLICATIONS

There will be no administrative impact on the SOS; they already collect fees from lobbyists.
