SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
Senate Bill 890 appropriates $100 thousand from the general fund for expenditure in FY08 to
Cultural Affairs department for the Museum of Fine Arts division to develop and implement a
web-based arts education pilot project based in Hobbs. The appropriation in Senate Bill 890 is
contingent the program receiving at least $25 thousand in matching funds from other sources.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $100 thousand contained in Senate Bill 890 is a recurring expense to the
General Fund. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY08 shall
revert to the General Fund.
The contingent language associated with the appropriation in Senate Bill 890 will have the effect
of leveraging available general funds for this program.
