SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
Senate Bill 775 appropriates $36,000 from the General Fund to the NM Tech Regents for
expenditure in FY 2008 to restore previous cuts and provide funds for expansion of the
Homeland Security Center.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $36,000 contained in this bill is a non-recurring expense to the General
Fund. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY 2008 shall revert to
the General Fund.
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES
New Mexico Tech is leading a collaborative effort to establish a center that would provide
Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and other federal agencies a facility that offers, among
