SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
Senate Bill 276 amends Sections 9-4A-1 through 9-4A-20 NMSA 1978, the Cultural Affairs De-
partment Act, in addition to Section 18-3-1 to revise the legal names of two divisions of the Mu-
seum and Monument program of that department.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
*Senate Bill 276 carries no fiscal impact. If enacted, it would revise the legal names of the Mu-
seum of Fine Art, and the Museum Services divisions.
The names of these divisions would become the New Mexico Museum of Art Division and the
Museum Resources Division, respectively.
Enactment of Senate Bill 276 would incur one-time, minimal additional operating expenditures.
The department has stated that it intends to use all printed stationary and other materials prior to
orders incorporating the proposed name change. The department has materials on hand to create
updated signage for the Museum of Fine Arts, however, labor costs for manufacturing the sign
