SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
House Bill 1231 appropriates $350 thousand to the PED for the implementation of the New
Mexico Story Project to introduce New Mexico’s school children to the right oral histories and
traditions of the state and preserve the same oral histories and traditions.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $350 thousand contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the general
fund. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY08 shall revert to the
