SUMMARY

Synopsis of Bill

House Bill 1154 amends NMSA Section 2-11-3 of the Lobbyist Regulation Act to raise the

annual filing fee for lobbyists from $25.00 to $100.00 for each of the lobbyist’s employers.

FISCAL IMPLICATIONS

The revenues will be $75 times the number of employers of lobbyists who are currently

registered at the SOS. Using information from the SOS, it is estimated that the revenue increase

will be approximately $84.225 per year, minimally.

ADMINISTRATIVE IMPLICATIONS

This will have no administrative impact on the SOS as they are already collecting fees from

lobbyists.
