SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
House Bill 1146 appropriates $230.0 from the General Fund to the Local Government Division
of DFA for the Mid-region Council of Governments to provide stipends to qualified student
interns participating in a charter school building trades and technology program in Bernalillo
County.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $230.0 contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the General Fund.
Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY08 shall revert to the
General Fund.
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES
MRCOG was selected as the fiscal and administrative entity for workforce connection.
MRCOG's role is to provide board support, perform planning, technical assistance, and training,
and assures compliance with the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) reporting performance
requirements.
