SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
House Bill 1113 appropriates $100,000 from the General Fund to the Board of Regents of New
Mexico State University (NMSU) to establish an Agricultural Leadership Program.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $100,000 contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the general fund.
Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY08 shall revert to the
general fund.
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES
NMSU currently offers an Agriculture Leadership Program in the College of Agriculture and
Home Economics. The goal of the program is to provide business skills training for agricultural
producers. Specific skills of focus are:
