SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
House Bill 1033 appropriates $50.0 from the General Fund to Local Government Division for
expenditures in 2008 for the New Mexico Youth Day Holiday Rodeo at the Bar-Diamond-S-
Arena in Bernalillo County.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $50.0 contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the General Fund. Any
unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY08 shall revert to the General
Fund.
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES
HB 1033 will provide $50.0 to help finance costs associated with the New Mexico Youth Day
holiday which will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2007 at the Los Vecinos Community Center
in Tijeras. Prime Time for Kids is a 501(c) (3) organization which was founded in 2000. Prime
Time is a community-based program that reaches out to at-risk children. The target populations
are middle and high school students. The goals of Prime Time are to keep children active when
