DECLARING MARCH 1, 2007 AS "CENTRAL NEW MEXICO COMMUNITY
COLLEGE DAY" AT THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.
WHEREAS, on June 2, 2006, Albuquerque Technical
Vocational Institute changed its name to Central New Mexico
Community College to represent more accurately its mission and
service area; and
WHEREAS, for more than forty years, Central New Mexico
Community College has provided "education you can use"; and
WHEREAS, hundreds of thousands of individuals have
improved their quality of life by obtaining an education from
Central New Mexico Community College; and
WHEREAS, Central New Mexico Community College is
considered New Mexico's premier community college; and
WHEREAS, Central New Mexico Community College has built
a regional and national reputation for its high-quality
training, innovative programs and positive impact upon
economic development; and
WHEREAS, Central New Mexico Community College has earned
state and national awards for quality; and
WHEREAS, Central New Mexico Community College enjoys
high satisfaction rates with students, faculty and staff,
alumni, employers and the community at large; and
WHEREAS, the house of representatives desires to
